Thank you for subscribing to the Youspeek service. Please take time to read the following to get the most out of your Youspeek telephone.

The following information is for SIP, X-LITE, ineternet phone etc. users
Powering Up
- Switch on modem and wait one minute while it stabilises
- Switch on the router (if present) and wait 1 minute
- Switch on the telephone adapter (like PAP2, Grandstream etc.) and wait 1 minute.
- Check your telephone – you should now have a dial tone
- In case of power failure you may lose the service temporarily. In this case please power off the modem, router (if present) and adapter and follow the sequence above.
Making Telephone Calls
- Please use your telephone just as you would a normal PSTN telephone.
- Pick up the receiver
- Dial the number as you would in international format, with country code
- Follow the number with a hash (#)Note: Xlite users do NOT use the #
- Example: To dial a London number – 0207 455 1234
- Dial 44 207 455 1234#
- The 44 is the country code
- The rest is the London number
- Please note that in most European countries numbers start with a 0, but when you are calling from outside that country you drop the 0 and attach the country code instead.
- Example 2: To call a number in India, Calcutta – 2478 9999
- Dial 91 33 2478 9999#
- As the Youspeek service is location agnostic and will always require a country code.
- The 91 is the country code
- The 33 is the city code
- The rest is the Calcutta number

Unlimited calling plans are also available.
Receiving Telephone Calls
- Your Youspeek telephone has been assigned a unique Youspeek extension number
- Youspeek has access numbers in most major countries.
- Your caller should dial the local number in his / her country of residence
- Example: In the US dial 1-360-526-6866.
- The caller will now hear a voice prompt asking for the number to call.
- The caller should now dial your Youspeek extension.
- As an example, if your Youspeek extension is 8880011, they should dial 8880011
- Your Youspeek telephone will ring. Answer it just as you would a normal telephone.
- Your Youspeek telephone can also have dedicated incoming numbers which your caller can call and your telephone will ring. Dedicated incoming numers in the US are free. Other incoming numbers in other countries will be charged at a nominal rate. Please write to us at support@youspeek.com if you would like a dedicated incoming number set up
Call Forwarding
You can set up your Youspeek service to forward incoming calls to any number in the world – mobile or landline. To use this service please do the following:
- Log into your Youspeek account at www.youspeek.com
- Click on the call forwarding link on the left side of the page
- Enter the forwarding number in international format. For example to enter an Indian mobile number enter 91 98300 99999.
- Check the check box to activate the service.
- Buy some call forwarding credit.
- The forwarded call will be charged to this credit at the standard Youspeek rates (please see www.youspeek.com)
- Please note your voicemail will be deactivated when you enable call forwarding
Voicemail
Your callers can leave a voicemail when you do not answer your telephone.
- Dial 8# to access the voicemail system. Once in the system,
- Dial 1 to listen to new messages
- Dial 7 to delete an message
- Dial 6 to hear the next message
- Dial 0 to access the options of recording your personalised greeting
- Please note your voice mail will be deactivated if you have set up call forwarding
- Whenever a new voicemail is left for you, it will be sent as an attachment in an email to the email account that you have provided.
